ST CHARLES, ILL. (04-16-2012) – Farm Progress Companies, the first agricultural media company to introduce useful apps to the farm market, is also the first to achieve momentous success with 100,000 downloads of four of its apps.
The 100,000 download mark is shared between four of its most popular apps: Growing Degree Days, Farm Futures, Farm Progress (state and regional magazines), and Beef Producer.
In-demand Apps
The trail of success started with the introduction and ongoing download growth of its Growing Degree Days app in December 2010. The app demand grew from its large-scale producer audiences, and Farm Progress introduced the Farm Futures app in February 2011. Later last year the Farm Progress app and the Beef Producer app were introduced. The company provides several additional apps with download counts that are not included in the currently celebrated 100,000 group.
"The 'need now' demand from our audiences has driven the rapid development of our apps and additional digital products to deliver news and critical information to producers," said Jeff Lapin, Farm Progress president. "Our information delivery goal provides relevant content for our users and exceptional reach and leverage for ag marketers."
